Three Delicious Tea Sandwiches to Impress Your Guests

Tea sandwiches are the perfect addition to any tea party, brunch, or picnic. They are dainty, delicious, and easy to make. In this blog post, I'll be sharing three tea sandwich recipes that are sure to impress your guests. Whether you prefer a classic cucumber and cream cheese sandwich, a tangy radish and chive cream cheese sandwich, or a sweet strawberry and mint cream cheese sandwich, The Board Gatherings has got you covered!

CUCUMBER + BROCCOLI SPROUTS

What you’ll need:

  • 4 slices of white bread

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup sprouts of choice (I used broccoli sprouts)

  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

How to assemble:

  • Remove crust and cut bread down the middle.

  • Pipe, or spread, cream cheese onto both sides of the bread.

  • Place three cucumbers in line over piped cream cheese.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Top cucumbers with broccoli spouts, and close the sandwich if desired.


RADISH + CHIVE

What you’ll need:

  • 4 slices of white or whole wheat bread

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup radishes, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp. fresh chives, chopped. Reserve some whole for garnish.

How to assemble:

  • Remove crust and cut bread down the middle.

  • Finely chop fresh chives and incorporate into your cream cheese.

  • Pipe, or spread, cream cheese onto both sides of the bread.

  • Add a layer of radish slices over piped cream cheese.

  • Close the sandwich, and pipe more cream cheese on top of the sandwich.

  • Add another layer of radish slices, and garnish with a dollop of cream cheese and chives.


STRAWBERRY + MINT

What you’ll need:

  • 4 slices of white or brioche bread

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup strawberries, thinly sliced

  • 1 tbsp. fresh mint leaves, chopped

  • Honey (optional)

How to assemble:

  • Cut two slices of bread diagonally.

  • Spread the cream cheese on each slice of bread.

  • Add a layer of sliced strawberries on two of the slices.

  • Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped mint leaves.

  • Top with the remaining bread slices and garnish with a thin slice of strawberry, and mint if desired.
